At Buckhead Christian Ministry, we daily see hope and happiness replace desperation and despair. People who are hungry or in a financial crisis come to us seeking a helping hand, and with your help we are able to reach out and touch their lives. Your tax-deductible donations of money, food and clothing make our ministry possible, and are much needed.
MONETARY DONATIONS:
$26 provides transportation for 2 weeks to someone who is job searching.
$50 helps families in BCM's Transitional Housing Program by providing a group training session on regaining financial independence.
$75 feeds a family of four for one week with canned goods from BCM's Food Pantry.
$250 keeps a family's utilities connected, so that they can have light, hot water, cooking fuel, and warmth.
$400 keeps a family from being evicted from their home, giving the family hope for a better future and faith in their neighbor's humanity.

DONATE FOOD:
We give bags of food to anyone who comes to our door hungry. Our primary need is for non-perishable food items. Items that are always needed include:
- Canned tuna
- Canned spaghetti sauce
- Peanut butter
- Canned fruits
- Canned vegetables
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Instant grits
- Instant oatmeal
- Jam or jelly
- Fruit juice concentrates
Tips for grocery shopping:
- Cut Out Hunger, an Atlanta-based non-profit, offers a web page (www.cutouthunger.org) on how to use coupons to cut down on grocery bills.
- Remember that BCM clients often use public transportation, and small cans of food (15 oz. or less) are usually easier for clients to carry long distances.
- Easy to prepare foods are preferable to foods that require a lot of preparation.
CONDUCT A FOOD DRIVE
Food drives are a great way to build community spirit and help Atlanta's needy at the same time. Consider conducting a food drive at your church, your school, or your civic association. Call BCM at 404-239-0058 or email us now.
DONATE CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS.
Our Thrift Store willingly accepts donations of clean, gently used clothing or small household items to our Thrift Store. Visit our Thrift Store page for more information on how to donate these goods.
OTHER WAYS TO HELP:
DONATE FURNITURE
BCM is a member of the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta (www.furniturebankatlanta.org) , which is clearing-house for furniture donations for many Atlanta charities. If you have a large item of furniture that you will like to give to charity, please consider donating it to the Furniture Bank. By asking the Furniture Bank to credit the donation to BCM, you will help provide furniture for families that move into BCM's Transitional Housing Program.
SPONSOR AN EVENT
Ample sponsorships are available to individuals and corporations for BCM's annual fundraiser--the Buckhead Golf Classic--and our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Call 404-239-0058 for more information, or email us now.
