Last year, over 300 volunteers donated their time and talents to BCM. BCM places great value on the work of volunteers, and is a place where volunteers can utilize their individual gifts to help their neighbors in need. Our vision is community, a united collection of neighbors serving each other as anexpression of love. We look forward to getting to know you and working with you. Volunteer opportunities exist in many areas:
- HelpLine Volunteers assist clients by scheduling client appointments, giving directions, and providing service referrals.
- Intake Volunteers meet with clients who come to BCM for assistance. Under the direction of the staff, these volunteers interview and assist people who come to our door seeking help.
- Money Management Coaches and Trainers work with clients to set a household budget, creat and use bank accounts, and other basic skills for managing money. Trainers teach money management coursed and coaches work one-on-one with families to apply what they learn in the class. All training materials are provided; no financial expertise required!
- Hospitality Volunteers creat a worm and welcoming environment for our clients, many of whom are in desperate need of a smiling face.
- Thrift Store Volunteers work at Buckhead THRIFTique sorting and pricing clothing, arranging displays, running the cash register, and helping shoppers.
- Administrative and Data Entry Volunteers perform administrative tasks at the office - helping answer the phone, filing, entering data into various data banks, and completing correspondence.
- Food Pantry Volunteers organize the pantry, accept donations and pack bags of food. Some also volunteer to pick up groceries from the store once a month.

"What really touches my heart is to see people who come back to the office and say, 'You really been a great help. I'm getting back on my feet now - I think I'll make it.'" --BCM Intake Worker
